In 2010, Peter G. Brown and I co-edited the book Water ethics: foundational readings for students and professionals which was published by Island Press.
The aim of the book was to assemble the emerging literature on water ethics and to put it into conversations with environmental ethics, different normative claims of global water use traditions and approaches to water management. It is suitable, and has been used, as a textbook for courses in environmental ethics and for courses in water resources management and governance. It is available in e-book, paperback or cloth versions from most major outlets (i.e. amazon).
Several reviews have been published in refereed journals. Here are links to pdfs:
Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture
Journal of the American Water Resources Association
Janine Selendy at Horizon’s Solutions
I’ve also compiled a short bibliography of other works here. Though this is neither exhaustive nor frequently updated, it is one place to find a few gems.
